Its extraordinary popularity can be explained not least by the fact that its space of approx. 3.5 l meets the requirements of many photo enthusiasts. Externally it is the second smallest photo bag in Billingham's Hadley series, internally it is just as large as the newer Hadley Small Pro. What fits inside? A DSLR camera or a mirrorless camera with a standard lens, a second lens and a number of accessories. With dimensions of approx. 290 x 120 x 220 mm (outside) and approx. 260 x 80 x 190 mm (main compartment inside), the Hadley Small is a wonderfully compact photo bag.
Perfect on the outside and inside
The Billingham Hadley Small shares many features with all Billingham bags and, of course, especially with the other photo bags in the Hadley series. Leather in the key areas where support and security are particularly important (e.g. strap fastenings on the front of the bags). And of course it also has the absolutely waterproof wall material made of canvas or FibreNyte. A shock-absorbing padding insert can be removed. It is secured against falling out with a press stud. Thanks to a padded flap, the contents of the bag are also protected from above. The insert can be subdivided using two large and two small dividers (included). Velcro strips hold the dividers firmly in the insert and still allow their positions to be changed if necessary. There is a narrow compartment for flat items (smartphone, tablet, papers, etc.) between the insert and the back of the bag. In front of the main compartment are two spacious front pockets that can hold plenty of accessories.
Absolutely weatherproof, robust and comfortable at the same time
As with all Billingham bags, the Hadley Small is not only stylish, but above all extremely weatherproof and hard-wearing. It is a reliable companion for many years to come. Two strong layers of canvas or FibreNyte and a water-barrier intermediate layer of butyl rubber ensure that moisture has no chance of penetrating the inside of the bag. The two front pockets are each protected by a flap with a press stud. A large, rain-repellent main flap completely covers the upper section of the Hadley Small. The bag can still be opened and closed quickly and easily. This is thanks to Billingham's "Quick Release System" (nomen est omen): Two leather straps whose perforations can be pressed onto two stop bolts made of sturdy brass to close the bag and easily pulled off again to open it. Once you've tried it, you'll appreciate this convenient method. The additional brass buckles on both front straps only serve to adjust the bag width (thickness) to the changing volume of the contents.
