Fotografie, die beispielsweise über Familienfotos als Andenken hinausgeht und auch höheren Ansprüchen gerecht werden soll, kommt nicht ohne ein Stativ aus. Gerade bei Aufnahmen, die eine hohe Belichtungszeit erfordern, reicht eine ruhige Hand in der Regel nicht aus. Hama bietet verschiedene Stativarten zu unterschiedlichen Zwecken an: Dreibeinstative liefern die höchste Stabilität und sind auch auf unebenem Gelände sicher zu platzieren. Einbeinstative sind noch etwas leichter und benötigen beim Aufstellen weniger Platz, dafür verfügen sie aber auch über einen weniger sicheren Stand. Tischstative lassen sich durch Klemmen am Tisch befestigen, wodurch vor allem im eigenen Zuhause gestochen scharfe Fotos gelingen können. Die Stative von Hama verfügen größtenteils über Stativ- oder Kugelköpfe, die die genaue Ausrichtung auf das Objekt ermöglichen. Angebrachte Wasserwaagen geben die Möglichkeit trotz Unebenheiten von einer horizontalen Position aus zu fotografieren. Alle Stativ von Hama bestehen aus hochwertigen Materialien, die von Aluminium als dankbarstem Material, was einen leichten Transport angeht, über Magnesium, Carbon und Kunststoff reichen.
