How polarizing filters work
The polarizing filter is still one of the most frequently used filters in photography. This filtering results in a reduction of reflections on glass and water surfaces or paints. At the same time, they increase color saturation and enhance contrast. Objects behind glass (shop windows, car windows) become visible again.

Using the walimex pro DJI Mavic Pro CPL Filter
The polarizing filter is the only filter whose effect cannot be achieved subsequently using image editing software. The reflections must be faded out at the time of shooting, this is no longer possible afterwards. The CPL filters reflections, increases the color saturation and enhances the contrast.

Function of the walimex pro DJI Mavic Pro gray filter/ND filter
Gray filters, also known as ND filters (Neutral Density), reduce the entire visible light spectrum evenly across the entire filter. Colors and contrasts are not affected.

Filter factor for gray filters/ND filters

  • Filter factor 4 extends the exposure time/aperture extension by an aperture value of 2
  • Filter factor 8 extends the exposure time/aperture extension by the f-stop value 3
  • Filter factor 16 extends the exposure time/aperture extension by an aperture value of 4
