  • two XLR/TRS input jacks
  • HDDA microphone preamplifier and A/D converter
  • interchangeable camera shoe (Ca/AN)
  • Two-channel microphone adapter and preamplifier

Two-channel microphone adapter and preamplifier for professional stereo sound recordings with a CSC/DSLR or other camera, using external microphones. With two XLR/TRS input jacks, HDDA microphone preamplifier and A/D converter, interchangeable camera shoe (Ca/AN).
The CA-XLR2d is a two-channel microphone adapter and preamplifier that enables high-quality professional stereo sound to be recorded with a mirrorless or other camera using external microphones.

Key features:
Two XLR/TRS input sockets allow the use of the optimum microphone depending on the situation and location
A powerful A/D converter transmits digital audio signals directly and unaltered to the camera via the accessory shoe (compatible manufacturers: Canon, Fujifilm)
Integrated high-performance HDDA (High Definition Discrete Architecture) microphone preamplifier from Tascam for best sound quality, low noise and wide dynamic range (level switchable microphone/line, 48-volt phantom power)
Detachable microphone holder and accessory shoe for attaching microphones or other accessories
Interchangeable camera shoe for use with cameras from Canon, Fujifilm or Nikon cameras

The CA-XLR2d is a two-channel microphone adapter and preamplifier that enables high-quality professional stereo sound to be recorded with a mirrorless or other camera using external microphones. The audio signal is recorded together with the video signal, eliminating the need for subsequent synchronization and reducing post-production time.

Two XLR/TRS inputs and a 3.5 mm stereo mini input are available for virtually any dynamic or condenser handheld microphone, shotgun, lavalier or other microphone or line-level signal - the CA-XLR2d is ready for all your shooting and filming needs.

Thanks to Tascam's many years of experience in audio technology and the high-quality A/D converters, the CA-XLR2d delivers clean, noise-free and professional sound at a resolution of 16 or 24 bits and sampling frequencies of 48 kHz or 96 kHz. The included audio processing functions such as auto level, depth filter and limiter can be called up via practical switches.

CA-XLR2d-C and CA-XLR2d-F transmit a digital audio signal directly to the camera via a compatible accessory shoe. This eliminates a second conversion step that could cause noise or distortion and can also be powered from the camera.

If your camera's hot shoe can neither process a digital audio signal nor supply power to the Tascam microphone adapter, the CA-XLR2d-AN is suitable for virtually any camera that has an analog audio input. Attach the supplied battery box (two AA batteries) and connect the analog output of the CA-XLR2d to the microphone or audio input of the camera using the supplied stereo audio cable. This way you can benefit from the high-quality microphone preamps and audio processing functions and significantly improve the sound of your film recordings.

Further features:
Power is supplied from the camera via the corresponding accessory shoe (compatible manufacturers: Canon, Fujifilm), or via the supplied battery compartment
Additional 3.5 mm stereo mini jack input for a lavalier or small microphone that requires a power supply
Analog audio output, can be used in two ways:
- Camera mode for transmitting the audio signal to the camera's microphone input
