Product description for Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 Sony FE mount

The 28-75 mm f/2.8 G2 is a compact and easy-to-use Lens with outstanding optical performance.
It is specially designed for modern digital cameras with ever higher pixel resolution.
The autofocus works with a VXD linear motor (Voice coil eXtreme torque Drive), which is fast, highly precise and quiet. The Lenses is also perfectly suited for close-up photography and achieves a close focusing distance (MOD) of 0.18 m and a maximum magnification of 1:2.7 in the wide-angle range. In addition, the Lenses was designed with ease of use in mind, including a particularly scratch-resistant coating on the lens barrel and a rubberized focusing ring for a comfortable and secure grip. Tamron is considered a pioneer in the category of compact, fast standard zoom lenses for mirrorless system cameras and, with the 28-75mm f/2.8 G2 for Nikon Z mount, has added an ideal everyday lens for users of Nikon mirrorless full-frame cameras to its portfolio.

Best image quality in the class of standard zoom lenses
The new 28-75mm f/2.8 G2 for Nikon Z uses the latest design know-how and has an optical design with 17 elements in 15 groups. Two optimally arranged LD (Low Dispersion) and GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lens elements reduce optical aberrations to a minimum. The Lenses offers high resolution from edge to edge and corner to corner over the entire zoom range, even with the aperture wide open. In addition, the soft, beautiful and rounded bokeh that can be achieved with a wide aperture Lenses adds a special dimension to portraits in particular. The overall compact size and high performance can be used to advantage with high-quality mirrorless cameras with very high resolution.

Fast, quiet VXD linear motor for high-precision autofocus
The AF drive system uses Tamron's VXD linear motor focusing mechanism.
The fast and high-precision autofocus is extremely responsive and offers reliable and precise focusing from the closest focusing distance to infinity despite the high speed of f/2.8. The lens offers excellent focus tracking on moving Lenses, so you are always ready for fast action. In addition, the focus motor is very quiet and is therefore ideal for photo and video recordings, even in situations that require absolute silence.

Lightweight and compact
The 28-75 mm f/2.8 G2 is a fast standard zoom lens with a remarkably compact and lightweight design measuring just 119.8 mm in length. The maximum diameter is 75.8 mm and the weight is only 550 g. The filter size is 67 mm. With its handy size and low weight, the 28-75mm f/2.8 G2 is ideal for longer handheld shots and is sure to become your favorite zoom for travel or professional studio shoots.

MOD of 0.18m at wide angle and a maximum magnification factor of 1:2.7 for creative close-ups
The 28-75mm f/2.8 G2 has a closest focusing distance of 0.18m. The distance to the subject is reduced to only approx. 4.4 cm when the close-up limit is fully utilized. The maximum magnification of 1:2.7 makes it possible to get very close to the subject, as in macro photography, creating a strong visual effect as the subject is positioned large in the image while the background remains widely visible.

The TAMRON Lens Utility expands the possibilities of photo and video shooting
The 28-75mm f/2.8 G2 is compatiblewith TAMRON's specially developed TAMRON Lens Utility
software, which allows users to easily update the Lenses to the latest firmware without having to use the camera. By utilizing a variety of functions, the user can enhance the expressive power of their photos and videos. With the A B focus, for example, the user can program the focus on pre-selected points and switch from one subject to another with a click of the focus button. Users can also choose between linear and non-linear, which affects the way the focus moves during manual focusing.

Improved Lenses design for user-friendly operation
Every part of the Lens has been thought through down to the smallest detail. The result is an improved design that optimizes both operability and ergonomics. The outer surface of the lens barrel is glossy black. The improved abrasion resistance makes the lens barrel more scratch-resistant and less sensitive to fingerprints. The grip has also been improved. The gently curved, elegant surface of the branded ring provides a refined appearance with a design that stands for functional beauty and high quality.

**Proprietary software tool TAMRON Lens Utility™ for customization of the Lenses and firmware updates

The 28-75mm F/2.8 G2 is compatible with the new TAMRON Lens Utility, which was developed by Tamron itself. The TAMRON Lens Utility can be operated via a computer by connecting the Lenses to the Connector Port via a USB-C cable. The user can customize the functions and update the firmware via the Lens. Personal customization offers flexible shooting options that can be adapted to the shooting situation, whether photo or video shooting.

Tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis
Ich nutze dieses Objektiv seit 2 Jahren und es hat mich weder in Schärfe noch Geschwindigkeit jemals im Stich gelassen. Das Bokeh ist schön und gleichmäßig, es fühlt sich sehr hochwertig an und ist eins meiner am häufigsten genutzten Objektive. Einziges Mini-Minus: der offene USB-C Anschluss. Hab das Problem aber gelöst mit einen Silikon-Stöpsel.

Die Fotos dieses Objektivs sind wirklich gestochen scharf. Kurzum: Ich bin vollstens zufrieden und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist bei Tamron sowieso erstklassig!
