We are pleased to introduce the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S II, the second generation of the professional full-frame lens. This high-performance zoom lens has been completely redesigned and now features an internal zoom, faster autofocus and a new optical construction. It is now lighter, sharper, perfectly balanced and even better suited for video.

This makes it the world's first professional 24-70mm full-frame lens with an internal zoom and a weight of just 675 grams. This also makes it the lightest Lenses in its class^.1

The NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S II was developed to be able to master difficult shooting situations even better. Compared to its renowned predecessor, the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S, it is even easier to use and even more robust.

Multi-focusing system and new optical design

Nikon's Multi-focusing system and new next-generation optical design have enormous advantages for photographers and videographers. It is the first Z-series zoom lens to feature Nikon's Silky Swift Voice Coil Motor: AF performance is 5 times ^faster2 and 50% quieter, plus focusing is 60% faster when zooming. The new S-Line optical design uses the highest level of precision per element to achieve perfect correction with fewer lens elements.

A rounded aperture with 11 blades ensures a particularly round bokeh. Nikon's high-performance meso-amorphous and ARNEO coatings reduce ghosting and stray light, allowing you to shoot or film without any problems even in difficult lighting conditions. The consistent use of the Multi-Focusing System has significantly improved performance at close range: with the new NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S II, you can get closer to the subject thanks to shorter focusing distances, an improved maximum magnification and the advantage of a non-extending lens barrel.

Most important features:

- First class: The world's first professional 24-70mm f/2.8 Lenses with internal zoom and, at 675 grams, the lightest in its class^.1
- Internal zoom: The lens barrel does not extend and retract. The center of gravity remains constant and the shots remain precise.
- Improvements for videos: The internal zoom means that the Lenses does not need to be rebalanced when using a gimbal and heavy accessories are easier to handle. Focus breathing is also reduced for more natural transitions.
- The fastest autofocus to date: The first zoom lens with a multi-focusing system and Nikon's Silky Swift Voice Coil Motor (SSVCM). For faster, quieter and more precise performance across the entire zoom range.
- Next-generation S-Line optics: Maximum image quality and a lighter Lenses. With double-sided aspherical lenses and ED glass as well as meso-amorphic and ARNEO coatings to prevent ghosting and flare.
- Softer, rounder bokeh: The rounded 11-blade diaphragm and advanced optics provide a more circular bokeh that is clearly defined and smoothly gradated.
- Extremely short focusing distance: just 0.24m at 24mm and 0.33m at 70mm. The maximum magnification is 0.21x at 24mm and 0.32x at 70mm.
- Control ring with switchable click: "On" for tactile feedback during gradual adjustments. "Off" for smooth, silent, stepless operation.
- Focus limiter: Limits the focus range to 0.33m over the entire zoom range for a constant working distance at all focal lengths.
- Any position: The internal zoom exposes fewer moving parts. The robust weather sealing keeps out dust, dirt and moisture^.3
- New lens hood HB-117: Round lens hood with filter opening. This lens hood does not need to be removed for rotating filters. This is practical when using variable ND filters for videos.
