Classically beautiful and timelessly modern -
the new premium compact camera FUJIFILM X100V
With the new FUJIFILM X100V, FUJIFILM presents the fifth model in the legendary X100 series. The weatherproof*1 premium compact camera with a newly developed 23mm F2 fixed focal length, further improved hybrid viewfinder and a foldable touch LCD is the ideal tool for anyone who wants to express their creativity in photography and videography individually. It is equipped with the latest X-Trans CMOS 4 Sensor*2 and the latest X-Processor 4 - a powerful combination that delivers high image quality and convenient operation.
Like no other digital camera, the FUJIFILM X100V embodies the yearning for the perfect balance between classic photography and innovative photo technology. Its stylish design represents minimalism and good taste. Its handling evokes memories of a time when every image had a deeper meaning and lasted many generations. Meanwhile, their brilliant image quality and unique functionality point the way to a new age of photography.
With the first X100, FUJIFILM laid the foundation for the award-winning X System, which has delighted photo enthusiasts and design fans alike with its image quality and ease of use. Since then, the X100 series has been continuously developed. The X100S, the X100T and most recently the X100F marked further milestones. The new X100V now continues this success story.
Excellent design and high ease of use
The FUJIFILM X100V is of timeless elegance - a true design icon. The upper and lower body panels are made of solid aluminum, giving the camera a perfectly formed appearance. The anodized aluminum gives the body a beautiful silky sheen.
The handgrip, ISO dial, and lens barrel have been carefully redesigned to make the camera even more comfortable to use and operate. The 7.6 cm (3-inch) LCD screen is now foldable and features an intuitive touch function, making shooting and viewing images even more user-friendly.
As the first model in the X100 series, the new X100V is weatherproof: in combination with the AR-X100 adapter ring and the PRF-49 protective filter (both available as optional accessories), it is protected all around against splash water and dust.
Enhanced Lens
The camera's Lens with a fixed focal length of 23mm (equivalent to 35mm at KB) has been specially redesigned for the high-resolution X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor. In terms of resolution performance and distortion correction, it is a significant improvement over previous models, although its dimensions have not increased. The Lens still features a built-in ND filter that reduces the amount of light by four EV stops, and it remains compatible with the optional wide-angle and teleconverters.
At the heart of the X100V is the duo of X-Trans CMOS 4 Sensor and X-Processor 4. The exceptional 26.1-megapixel rear-exposure sensor offers unsurpassed image quality and extended dynamic range. The sensor's unique pixel pattern eliminates moiré and chromatic aberration so effectively that an optical low-pass filter is not required. The powerful X-Processor 4 with quad-core technology guarantees fast data processing and, thanks to a new AF algorithm, ensures precise focusing even in low light down to -5 EV.
Advanced hybrid viewfinder with 3.69 million pixels
The large hybrid viewfinder, one of the key features of the X100 series, has been significantly enhanced once again. It can be used either as an optical viewfinder with 0.52x magnification or as an electronic viewfinder (EVF) with 3.69 million pixels, and users can switch between the two modes quickly and easily when shooting. With 95 percent field coverage and built-in correction for parallax effect, the subject can be seen unchanged in the optical viewfinder, while the electronic viewfinder shows a real-time preview of the subsequent image result. The X100V also offers an Electronic Rangefinder or ERF, which extends the performance of the viewfinder. This displays a small EVF window in the lower right corner of the optical viewfinder, providing additional support for the user during shooting.
Versatile video function
The X100V can record video up to 4K/30p or Full HD/60p. In high-speed mode, impressive slow-motion effects can be achieved with Full HD/120p. For maximum color fidelity, videos can be recorded to an external recorder via HDMI with 10-bit and 4:2:2 color sampling. Alternatively, videos can be given one of FUJIFILM's legendary color looks, such as the ETERNA film simulation. In addition, users can apply various image settings such as "Monochrome Color" or "Color Chrome Effect" directly during video recording to give their images a personalized touch.
