High-quality zoom lens at an affordable price
The EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II is a high-quality standard zoom lens, ideal for photographers who don't like to travel with heavy luggage. With a focal length range of approximately 29-88mm (equivalent to KB format), it is ideal for general photography use. A closest focusing distance of approximately 0.25m across the zoom range makes for inspiring close-up shots.

Optical Image Stabilizer
The EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II uses Canon's Image Stabilizer technology to shoot at shutter speeds up to four stops slower with no visible increase in blur - excellent for low-light use.

Aspherical lens and Super Spectra coating
Super Spectra coating ensures precise color balance and crisp, high-contrast images, as well as reducing flare and reflections from internal lenses or camera sensor. An aspherical lens delivers clear, high-contrast images even at full aperture.

Circular aperture
When shooting at full aperture, the circular aperture produces a pleasing reproduction in the out-of-focus area (bokeh effect). Advantage: The main subject is specifically set off from the blurred image background - the spatial depth is emphasized.

Lead-free glass
Only lead-free glass is used to manufacture the lens glass.

Accessories
A lens front and rear cap are supplied as standard with the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II. Optionally available
