His texts and pictures have also been published in NaturFoto, the well-known magazine for nature photography. in 2005, his first book "Herbstrast der Kraniche" was published. Detlef Hase was one of the winners in the "Artists on Wings" category of the international nature photography competition "Glanzlichter 2022". With his pictures and texts, he also campaigns for better protection of native nature.
